Contemporary
Here we were tasked with balancing contrasting viewpoints. The architect, Dermot Bannon, was keen to keep the focus on the stunning views over Portmarnock Beach and favoured subtlety in the kitchen design. However, our client had fallen in love with the high-end look and luxury touches in our Merrion collection. The answer was our slim shaker doors combined with minimalist framing, with the perimeter cabinets set back into the walls and painted in similar colours to create a subtle character.
From there, we were able to add all of the luxury touches like handmade storage solutions for cutlery, utensils, trays etc, solid brass hardware, a storage nook inside the structural pillar, concealed LED lighting, extra thick island top, to name a few.
The venting hob is located on the island, for a more social cooking experience and so the cook could take advantage of those stunning views. Finally, boot room and utility cabinetry made the luxury, high-end contemporary scheme complete.
